[iv,1 The Sea of Summer's Wake.]
The introduction to the compendium of siren song melodies was a flat and final note. It signaled the end of a road and an entrance onto what lied buried beneath the dirt. You could sense the impending pass and knew just how to catch it. It rose through a whistle, erratically vibrating just so a new key could be formed. Here it lies open, an exit from reason and silly rationality, into the Sea of Summer's Wake.
I know that it's coming,
I can feel it in the warmth of each calm breeze.
I know that it's coming,
I can hear it rustle through the falling amber leaves.
I know that it's coming,
I can see it's silhouette weeping just behind the willow trees.
I know thats it's coming,
I can taste the bittersweet tears with each sip of the Southern Tea.
It's almost here,
No time to pack for the journey you wouldn't be forced to take.
It's almost here,
Instead read each line while your potential decides your fate.
It's almost here,
As the moment is upon us, I'll be sure to remember our debate.
It's almost here,
Don't get overtaken by shock and begin wobbling in the wake.
Can you feel it?
The passive calm hiding in the center of the raging storms.
Can you see it?
Through the mist of perception it can come in many forms.
Can you hear it?
The voice of indecision screaming loudly although it's worn.
Can you dig it?
The grave of the past must presently be filled while the future is born.
What do we do now?
I thought your plan had called for many preparations?
What do we do now?
I thought we must train and stay focused on our salvation?
What do we now?
When no books are written about this type of manifestation?
What do we do now?
How can we build a house with only sand as a foundation?
Seemingly fading the note ran along in search of it's harmonious triplet. It was easy to get lost scrambling through the bush, chasing a partially wiped path in the dirt. Good thing your training had taught you how to track it. Through the momentary visibility a plan was slowly being formed. The horizon crept a bit closer while you were overcome by the Sea of Summer's Wake.
