If life is a movie, who can be trusted for the final edit?

Our bedtime creeps closer after the show is done.
Our dreams ride the wake skillfully as they come.
Ever closer is our perception to the edge of a new shift.
Watching the tires squeal as we round the corner all adrift.
Our eyes close slowly when we're given the chance to see.
The light shone on our path gives us reason to turn and flee.

If life is a movie, who did the casting?
If life is a movie, is our age just practicing?

Many will run scared and screaming into the night.
Others will spread their wings lifting into the air, taking flight.
The few left will brace for the onslaught, seeking the path through the struggle.
How narcisstic are we to think that we are the rubble.
Go ahead and think it through whilst I reminisce.
You won't be able to find solace in those you choose to dismiss.

If life is a movie, who will be nominated the Golden Globe?
If ifeis a movie, who did the wardrobe?

Each blow, a shower, cleansing us with multitudes of understanding.
Drying our hardened skin was the cloth of perspective we'd been demanding.
Stepping into our armor for the trip through the forest of growing dreams.
We remain percipient, patiently awaiting the challenges our journey surely brings.
Fortune found in the nook of every passing situation.
Sufferings used to push toward the cranny of our final destination.

If life is a movie, who is the director?
If life is a movie, whose in charge of the photographic sector?

Deep with the forest is where our dreams grow.
Hollowing the woods of Birnam where time no longer flows.
The patterns all dissolving with the stampede of many feet.
Coincidence determines the destination where time and space meet.
Awaking in deep sleep the necessity of propagation.
Aligning the means manifesting synchronization.

If ife is a movie, whose in charge of the petty cash?
If life is a movie, who decides the location of the stash?
